Marta von Rosenvinge – Therapist
I work collaboratively with adults and couples with anxiety, relationship challenges, and trauma. I also teach yoga and meditation and understand the role the body plays in holding trauma and how chronic stress can contribute to a disconnect between the mind/body. I am passionate about health and nutrition and believe that lifestyle has a strong impact on mood as do our thoughts and behaviors.
I use an integrative approach drawing on Mindfulness, Psychotherapy and CBT to help people with anxiety, relationships, and trauma. I work with people to manage the effects of trauma and stress by helping then develop awareness of unhealthy thought and behavior patterns. We work together toward reconnecting to self and strengthening mind/body connection. I am trained in Gottman Method Couples therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, and this informs my work with couples.
I believe that it is normal to feel stuck, out of balance, anxious, and depressed and know that it takes courage to ask for help. I value the therapeutic relationship so I start by creating a warm and accepting space where we can work together to understand innate strengths, unhealthy patterns, and areas of imbalance in order to engage change.
